KISS at the Rose Garden – Tonight!!
KISS is here tonight!! I must say, I am excited. I may not be old enough to have fully appreciated KISS music when it came out, but I sure do appreciate it now!

One of my more recent birthdays had a theme of 80s Rock Hair Bands. We didn’t want to go with the classic 80s theme that everyone does, so we tweaked it a bit. :) I remember two of my good friends showing up as members of KISS, which easily rivaled the Bret Michaels costume that another friend had donned. (Note: This was during the era of the ever-trashy Rock of Love series, and perfect timing!!) When Rock and Roll All Nite came on, we all danced and sang in unison, having a blast. I will never forget that birthday…
As I’m sure I will never forget tonight. I’ve been convinced by my coworkers that it’s going to be a great idea for me to get my face painted like a member of KISS. I’m so going for the Starman look!! All the while, I’ll be working with this face paint on…stay tuned for pics and a video of me getting my make up done! Hope to see y’all rockin’ out tonight!!

Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular
They’re Back!
Walking with Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular will be making its stop at the Rose Garden February 24th through 28th with multiple showtimes.
After years of planning, the award-winning BBC TV series, Walking With Dinosaurs comes to life in a stunning theatrical event. Internationally renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 15 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-Rex! Be amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before your eyes. It’s a dazzling $20-million-dollar arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality set to captivate young and old alike. Marvel at the story of their 200 million year domination of life on earth. Watch them walk. Hear them roar. Be there as they fight for survival and supremacy. From the ripple of their skin to the glint in their eye, you will know the dinosaurs really have returned! So make sure you have your seat to see the return of the dinosaurs!
Ten species are represented from the entire 200 million year reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous. The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail. It took a team of 50 – including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists and painters, and animatronic experts – a year to build the original production.
The show depicts the dinosaurs’ evolution, complete with the climatic and tectonic changes that took place, which led to the demise of many species. With almost cinematic realism, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS has scenes of the interactions between dinosaurs, and the audience sees how carnivorous dinosaurs evolved to walk on two legs, and how the herbivores fended off their more agile predators.
The history of the world is played out with the splitting of the earth’s continents, and the transition from the arid desert of the Triassic period is given over to the lush green prairies and forces of the later Jurassic. Oceans form, volcanoes erupt, a forest catches fire — all leading to the impact of the massive comet, which struck the earth, and forced the extinction of the dinosaurs.

KISS will “Rock and Roll All Nite” at the Rose Garden
via The Examiner
Face paint, flamboyant costumes and fire breathing are only a few of the things that make KISS one of the most memorable rock and roll bands of all-time. I had the opportunity to see KISS perform live in 2003 when they toured with Aerosmith, and I too was mesmerized by the spectacle of the show. It is hard to deny that their stage presence is in a league of its own and they represent good old American rock and roll.
With an amazing career that has spanned over 35 years, KISS has returned to the road with the “KISS Alive 35″ tour. This is also the first time in history that a tour was routed by the fans. KISS ran a campaign where fans could request KISS to play in their city and if the demand was high enough, the band added that city to the tour. The show will feature, all-new costume as well as an amazing new stage and pyro effects that will blow the legions of fans’ minds. KISS will play songs from their new album SONIC BOOM, but will also treat the fans to some of their greatest hits, including “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.”
Los Angeles based hard rock band, Buckcherry will open for KISS on this leg of the North America Tour. The band has released five albums, which include such hits as “Crazy Bitch,” “Lit Up,” and “Sorry.”
Come to the Rose Quarter early on Tuesday night and celebrate with your favorite local radio stationsKGON, KUFO & The Brew. KGON will be hosting a party in The Game from 5-7pm, which will include KISS face painting, KISS hair do’s and prize giveaways.
Tickets are priced at $126.00, $76.00, $39.50, and $19.50. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Rose Quarter Box Office, all participating Safeway/ TicketsWest outlets, by calling 877.789.ROSE, or at ComcastTIX.com.

Jeff Dunham Brings His Spark of Insanity Tour to the Memorial Coliseum
via The Examiner
My friends and colleagues can’t stop talking about Jeff Dunham. Not knowing a lot about him, I asked my friend Stacy
what all the hype was about. She said his type of comedy and the variations of puppets are hilarious. Her personal favorite is Achmed the Dead Terrorist. I found an Achmed clip onyoutube.com and I have to admit that is made me laugh. But how can you not when a skeleton is yelling “Silence! I kill you!”
Jeff Dunham is no dummy. Last year, his tour grossed $38 million dollars in ticket sales. Dunham also sold over 4 million DVDs and earned an additional $7 million dollars in merchandise sales. According to ForbesMagazine, Jeff Dunham ranks as the third highest paid comedian in America. He continued to build his empire when The Jeff Dunham Showpremiered on Comedy Central in October. This month, Dunham will publish his autobiography “All By My Selves.” The book chronicles his life from when he bought his first dummy at age 10 to his adventures on the comedy circuit which brought him to superstar status.
Jeff Dunham is bringing his entourage of puppets and undeniable talent to the Memorial Coliseum tonight for the Spark of Insanity Tour. Tickets are priced at $42.50 and are on sale now and can be purchased at the Rose Quarter Box Office, all participating Safeway/ TicketsWest outlets, by calling 877.789.ROSE (7673), or at ComcastTIX.com.
